We've been using this kettle at work just fine. It's very light weight but has a tall receptacle that holds the kettle well so we're not concerned about tip over.It boils incredibly fast & has a nice comfortable handle & easy to use lid release.Make sure you follow the initial instructions to boil 3x letting cool each time, before the first use to remove any foul taste.The element is not "protected" so we'd expect scale to build up, but that's easily cleaned.Only gripe is that the filter seems to fall out when tipped upside down. Even so, can recommend this kettle as a low cost but perfectly functional kettle.
