I installed a gas instant heater on an outside wall, was not able to install it in a central location. Therefore it took a while to get hot water to the faucet. I installed the 6gal electric heater in series with this heater at a central location. This curied the problem. The total cost was still below what most heaters would cost. I am very pleased and feel this is the way to go. I feel I should see savings in my power bill, time will tell. Another benifit is never running out of hot water. This way I only have to maintain 6 gal of hot water instead of 40 gal. Great product.Winslow
